There is a full version available at the app store but also a free version. The last alternative would be SketchBookPro. And both don't have a line stabilization. Plus, I'd compare Gimp in it's functionality more to photoshop - both don't got the smooth and watery brushes which Sai offers (of course, you could download some). Brush pressure won't work on default on mac and even if you go through all the hassle to make it work, its pressure sensitivity won't be as good as other programs. Gimp is indeed a good program if you bring a lot of patience.
